A sacque is a type of garment historically worn by men, particularly in European and Middle Eastern cultures, during the medieval and early modern periods. The term originates from the Italian word *sacco*, meaning "sack," reflecting its loose, bag-like design. Sacques were typically made from luxurious fabrics such as silk, velvet, or brocade and were often adorned with intricate embroidery or fur trim, signifying wealth and status.

Sacques were characterized by their loose, flowing sleeves and a fitted bodice, sometimes featuring a high collar or standing collar. They were commonly worn over a doublet or tunic and were popular among nobility, merchants, and scholars in the 14th through 16th centuries.
