Contemporary aesthetics covers philosophy of art and philosophy of beauty, as well as applied aesthetics in design, architecture, environmental aesthetics, and media. Key topics include the nature of aesthetic appreciation, the role of intention and interpretation, the relationship between form and content, and the interaction between aesthetics and ethics or politics.
