Dubbelsidband is a term used in Dutch to denote a flexible strip with adhesive on both sides, designed to bond two surfaces without nails, screws or staples. It is commonly referred to as dubbelzijdig tape or double-sided adhesive tape and is available in many formulations. The backing is usually a thin film, paper or foam, coated with an adhesive on both faces, and often equipped with protective liners that are removed before use.

There are various types of dubbelsidband, differentiated by adhesive chemistry, backings and thickness. Acrylic adhesives offer good aging and weather resistance, making them suitable for indoor and some outdoor applications. Rubber-based adhesives provide strong initial tack and are often less expensive. Foam cores (such as PE or PU foam) enable gap filling and cushioning and are used for mounting uneven surfaces or trims. Some tapes are designed for high-temperature or chemical environments, others are designed to be repositionable.

Common applications include mounting photos, posters and decorative trims, securing carpeting or textiles, attaching signs and displays, and organizing cables or components in electronics and automotive contexts. The choice of tape depends on factors such as load, surface type, ambient conditions, and whether a temporary or permanent bond is required.

Installation generally involves cleaning and drying the surfaces, cutting the tape to length, applying one side to a surface, removing the liner, and pressing the second surface firmly to complete the bond. For best performance, surfaces should be smooth, dry, and free of dust, grease, and moisture.
