A pumpmodule is a modular pumping unit designed for fluid handling in industrial, commercial, and building services applications. It integrates a pump, motor, drive or control electronics, and a mounting and connection framework into a single, pre-assembled module that can be installed with minimal field assembly. The design typically supports standard mechanical interfaces (inlet and outlet ports, flange or threaded connections) and electrical interfaces (power supply, control signals, and often communication networks such as Modbus or Profinet).

Core components usually include a pump stage (centrifugal or positive-displacement), a motor (electric or hydraulic), a drive or controller, seals and bearings, and a baseplate. Many pumpmodules incorporate sensors for pressure, flow, and temperature, and protective features such as overload, dry-run, or leak detection. Optional features may include a variable-speed drive, integrated valve assemblies, or remote monitoring.

Benefits include reduced commissioning time, repeatable performance, easier maintenance, standardized specifications, and simplified spare-part logistics. They are commonly used in HVAC cooling loops, water supply and distribution, process and chemical dosing, irrigation, and small-scale pumping stations. Configurations range from inline modules that replace a traditional pump-and-motor assembly to skid-mounted packages and submersible configurations for confined spaces.

Design considerations include compatibility with working fluids and temperatures, heat dissipation, serviceability, regulatory compliance (for example CE, UL, ATEX where applicable), and environmental protection (IP ratings).
