Målplattforme

Målplattforme is a term used in Scandinavian contexts to denote a software platform designed to manage and track goals. The form consists of mål (goal) and plattform (platform), with an extended ending that may be used informally or in branding. The concept focuses on translating strategic objectives into measurable targets that can be assigned to individuals and teams, and monitored over time. In practice, målplattforme is often described as facilitating objective-driven execution, and is commonly associated with goal-setting methodologies such as Objectives and Key Results (OKR) or KPI-based performance management.

Core features include a hierarchical goal structure, cascading alignment of objectives, key results or metrics, and progress indicators. Most implementations provide real-time dashboards, reporting analytics, and audit trails. They typically offer task linking, collaboration tools, and workflow support, as well as data integration with enterprise systems (HRIS, CRM, project management) to track metrics. Security and access control, version history, and privacy controls are standard.

Applications: organizations use målplattforme to align strategies from executives to frontline teams, monitor performance against targets, and facilitate quarterly reviews. Public sector, non-profit, and private-sector organizations may adopt different configurations; personal or team productivity use is a less common but growing variant.

Implementation considerations include change management, data quality, metric definitions, and standardization; integration complexity and data governance; licensing costs and vendor support; multilingual and regulatory compliance; training and user adoption.
