Management runs day-to-day operations under the governance framework, guided by statutes, bylaws, and policies. Accountability is maintained through financial reporting, audits, performance monitoring, and disclosure to stakeholders.

Formation and lifecycle: Organizations are formed under legal frameworks that confer rights and obligations (incorporation, registration, licenses). They may undergo growth, restructuring, mergers, or dissolution.

Functions and operations: Strategy development, resource management (capital, personnel, information), process design, risk management, and measurement of outcomes. Measurement often uses performance indicators and impact assessment to align activities with the mission.

Legal and regulatory context: Organizations operate within laws governing corporate behavior, taxation, labor, contracting, and fiduciary duties. Compliance and governance practices influence credibility and access to resources.
