Applicationto

Applicationto is a cross-platform application lifecycle management platform designed to orchestrate deployment, scaling, and routing of software services across multi-cloud and on-premises environments. It provides a unified model for defining application topology, dependencies, and policy-driven behavior, enabling operators to specify how applications respond to events, load changes, and failures.

The architecture centers on a Core Engine that maintains state and executes workflows, supported by Orchestrators for cloud providers and on-prem clusters, a Connectors library for APIs, data stores, and service meshes, and a Policy Engine for security, compliance, and governance. A web-based user interface and REST/GraphQL APIs expose capabilities to administrators, developers, and operators, while an SDK and plugin system enable integration with CI/CD pipelines and monitoring tools.

History and development: Applicationto was conceived by NovaTech Systems in the early 2010s as a middleware layer for complex deployment environments. The first public release appeared in 2017 as an on-premises platform; subsequent versions introduced cloud-native components, plug-in extensions, and a microservices-oriented runtime. By 2020 the project supported multi-cluster orchestration, and in 2022 it broadened to open-source modules and standardized APIs.
