Lergonomia is not widely recorded as a distinct discipline in standard academic references. In many contexts the term appears to be a misspelling of ergonomia (ergonomics) or a regional neologism. There is no universally accepted definition, and sources may vary in how the term is used. When encountered, lergonomia is often understood as either a linguistic variation of ergonomics or as an informal attempt to combine reading-related practices with ergonomic concepts.

Ergonomics, the related field, is the scientific discipline that studies how tasks, equipment, and environments can be designed to fit human abilities and limitations. Its aim is to improve safety, comfort, performance, and well-being. If the term lergonomia is used to refer to reading or literacy contexts, it might address ergonomic aspects of reading posture, lighting, viewing distance, screen or book height, eye strain, and the arrangement of study spaces. Such usage is informal and not widely standardized.
