A stable vehicle will react smoothly and predictably to driver actions. If the driver steers, the vehicle should follow the intended path without excessive body roll, oscillation, or tendency to oversteer or understeer. Similarly, during braking or acceleration, a stable vehicle will maintain its directional control and not exhibit erratic behavior like fishtailing.
