Gzöket is a fictional mammal commonly encountered in fantasy literature and worldbuilding projects. In these contexts, a gzöket is a small, arboreal mammal noted for its agility, keen sense of balance, and distinctive facial markings. Adults typically measure 25 to 40 centimeters in body length, with a tail of similar length, and have dense, soft fur that ranges in color from pale brown to slate gray. A characteristic feature is a pale bib of fur on the chest and a dark mask around the eyes.

Geographic range and habitat: In most depictions, gzöket inhabits temperate and tropical forests of the fictional archipelago of Nyris, often near river corridors and mangrove edges. They are nocturnal and highly arboreal, spending most of their time among the forest canopy. Diet consists of fruits, seeds, leaves, and insects; they are also observed to cache food.

Behavior and social structure: Gzöket live in small social groups called clans of 4–12 individuals. They communicate with a range of vocalizations and body gestures, including tail flicks and whisker twitching. Reproduction occurs once per year, with a litter of 1–3 offspring.
