fibromes
Fibromes are benign (non-cancerous) growths that develop in the uterine muscle, primarily in women who have had multiple pregnancies. They are also known as leiomyomas or uterine fibroids. These growths can vary in size, from small to large, and may cause symptoms such as heavy menstrual bleeding, pelvic pain, and pressure on the bladder or bowel. The exact cause of fibromes is not fully understood, but they are believed to be influenced by hormonal factors, particularly estrogen and progesterone.
Diagnosis of fibromes typically involves a physical examination, pelvic ultrasound, and sometimes a hysterosalpingogram or MRI.
Fibromes are generally not life-threatening, but they can significantly impact a woman's quality of life. Management
