Life-threatening is an adjective used in medical and public health contexts to describe conditions or injuries that pose an immediate risk of death if not promptly treated. It denotes a high level of danger and the potential for rapid deterioration, rather than a diagnosis in itself. The term emphasizes urgency and the need for rapid assessment and stabilization.
