Verdaris is a sovereign state in the temperate coastal region of the eastern continent. It borders the Sea of Lyrin to the west, the Verdarin Highlands to the north, and the Elwen River valley to the south. The capital and largest city is Verdaris City. The name is thought to derive from verdant landscapes.

Geography and environment: Verdaris features a mix of coastal lowlands, rolling hills, and highland plateaus. The climate is temperate maritime with mild winters and warm summers. Forests cover significant areas, and rivers provide hydroelectric potential.

History: The state traces its roots to medieval principalities united in the 13th century. It adopted modern constitutional governance in the 19th century and gradually expanded civil rights. Neutral in major conflicts, it participates in regional security arrangements.

Cultural life centers on festivals, crafts, and music; Verdaris University is a leading institution; National Museum of Verdaris preserves history.
