The designation does not reflect a formal, widely adopted industry category; instead, it appears in concept studies and marketing discussions to signal a vehicle optimized for long-distance travel, versatile interiors, and advanced connectivity.

Design and features commonly associated with SUVt concepts include modular interiors with configurable seating and cargo arrangements, adaptive air or active suspension, and a focus on ride quality for highway and light off-road use. Mechanical layouts often emphasize efficient powertrains, such as mild-hybrid or plug-in configurations, and increasingly, electric platforms. All-wheel drive with capable terrain response, torque-vectoring systems, and advanced driver assistance benefits are typical, though implementations vary by studio or manufacturer.

Terminology and market status: SUVt has no standardized definition, and few if any production models are officially labeled SUVt. When used, it generally denotes a vehicle intended to bridge the gap between traditional SUVs and tourers or tech-forward utility vehicles.
