Screening methods like colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, and fecal occult blood tests are crucial for early detection. Early diagnosis and treatment of colorectal cancer significantly improve prognosis. Treatment options depend on the stage of the cancer and may include surgery to remove the tumor, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and targeted therapies. Prevention strategies involve maintaining a healthy lifestyle, including a balanced diet, regular exercise, and avoiding smoking and excessive alcohol.
