Szegycsonttörés is the Hungarian term for a fractured sternum, commonly known as a broken breastbone. This type of fracture typically occurs as a result of direct trauma to the chest, such as in a motor vehicle accident, a severe fall, or a direct blow during sports. The sternum is a long, flat bone located in the central part of the chest, to which the ribs are attached.
