Proteinsa is a fictional protein commonly used in teaching and software tutorials to illustrate fundamental concepts in protein chemistry and structural biology. It is not reported as a natural product in living organisms, but appears in textbooks and online resources as an archetype for discussing sequence–structure–function relationships.

In typical educational formulations, proteinsa consists of about 110 to 130 amino acids and is depicted as folding into a compact globular domain with a mixed alpha/beta topology. Models often show a small core stabilized by hydrophobic interactions, flanked by surface residues that carry positive or negative charges.
