A geldlade is a cash drawer used in retail and service settings to store cash, coins, and banknotes during transactions. It is typically part of a cash register or point-of-sale (POS) system and is designed to be opened and closed repeatedly throughout business hours.

Most geldlades are made of metal or reinforced plastic and consist of a front-loading drawer that slides out toward the cashier. Inside, a removable cash tray provides compartments for coins of various denominations and slots for banknotes. The drawer is usually lockable and can be secured with a key or combination. Many models also include anti-theft features such as alarms or tamper switches.

Operation is commonly controlled by the POS system.
