A boreprogrammer is a professional who designs, codes, and optimizes CNC programs for boring operations on metal parts. The role concentrates on forming and finishing circular holes to specified diameters, depths, tolerances, and surface finishes, while controlling geometric relationships to adjacent features. Responsibilities include interpreting blueprints and GD&T, selecting tools and boring strategies, programming holes with appropriate cycles (constant-depth boring, peck bore, finishing passes), and setting cutting parameters.
