Mastercam
Mastercam is a computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software program developed by CNC Software, Inc. It is used to create toolpaths for CNC machining, converting CAD geometry into executable machine code (G-code). It supports milling, turning, routing, wire EDM, and five-axis machining, with specialized modules such as Mastercam Milling, Mastercam Lathe, and Mastercam Wire. The software provides 2D and 3D design and modeling tools, high-speed machining strategies, stock and fixture modeling, and extensive verification and simulation to detect collisions and gouges before production. It can import CAD data from common formats (IGES, STEP, SAT, STL, DXF/DWG) and supports interchange with other design tools. Mastercam includes a post-processor library that generates machine-specific G-code for a wide range of CNC controllers, and it offers customizable tool libraries, feeds and speeds, and machining strategies.
Since its first release in the late 1980s, Mastercam has become one of the most widely used
