AIITI, or the **All India Institute of Information Technology**, is a network of autonomous public engineering institutes in India established to promote excellence in information technology education and research. The institutes were created under the **All India Institutes of Information Technology Act, 2014**, to address the growing demand for skilled professionals in technology and engineering fields.

The first AIITI was established in **Allahabad (Prayagraj)** in 2000 as an autonomous institution under the **All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)**. Since then, several other AIITIs have been established across India, including campuses in **Bhopal, Raipur, Gwalior, Amethi, Bhubaneswar, Surathkal, and Moradabad**. Each institute operates under its own governing council and is recognized as a **Deemed-to-be University**, granting its own degrees.
