SVIDs

SVIDs, or Sensor Vehicle Interface Devices, are electronic components that facilitate communication between sensors and the central computer systems within a vehicle. They act as translators, converting raw sensor data into a format that the vehicle's control units can understand and process. This allows for a wide range of automotive functions, from engine management and safety systems to infotainment and autonomous driving capabilities.

The primary function of an SVID is to manage the flow of information from various sensors, such as those measuring wheel speed, engine temperature, oxygen levels, and proximity. These sensors generate analog or digital signals that are often incompatible with the digital logic of the vehicle's microcontrollers.
