Rõhuprobleeme, often referred to as pressure issues, is a broad term encompassing various conditions related to elevated or diminished blood pressure within the body. In the context of human health, it most commonly refers to hypertension and hypotension.

Hypertension, or high blood pressure, occurs when the force of blood against the artery walls is consistently too high. This can lead to serious health problems over time, including heart disease, stroke, kidney failure, and vision loss. Hypertension often has no symptoms, which is why it is sometimes called the "silent killer." Risk factors include genetics, age, obesity, lack of physical activity, unhealthy diet, smoking, and excessive alcohol consumption.

Hypotension, or low blood pressure, is characterized by blood pressure levels that are too low to adequately supply the body's organs with oxygen. Symptoms can include dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, blurred vision, nausea, and fatigue. While low blood pressure can sometimes be a sign of an underlying medical condition, such as heart problems, endocrine disorders, or severe infection, it can also be a normal physiological state for some individuals, especially those who are very fit. It can also be caused by dehydration, certain medications, or sudden changes in body position.
