Pindone

Pindone is an anticoagulant compound used primarily as a rodenticide for controlling populations of pest rodents. It belongs to the class of 4-hydroxycoumarin derivatives, which interfere with the blood clotting process in affected animals. When ingested by rodents, pindone inhibits the synthesis of vitamin K-dependent clotting factors, leading to internal bleeding and eventual death.
