Nudismo

Nudismo, or naturism, is a social and cultural movement that promotes social nudity in designated, non-sexual settings as a way to foster body acceptance, personal freedom, and harmony with nature. Practitioners, often called naturists or nudists, consider nudity a natural state rather than a sexual one. Activities typically take place in clothing-optional environments such as beaches, camps, resorts, and private properties where rules emphasize respect, consent, and privacy.

The modern nudist movement originated in Europe in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, with the German Freikörperkultur (FKK) and, in France, the Naturisme movement playing influential roles. It spread to other regions during the mid-20th century, leading to the growth of clubs, organized resorts, and public beaches. Today nudismo is practiced across many countries and includes individuals and families, though legal recognition and acceptance vary by location.

Common practices include visiting nudist beaches, camping at naturist resorts, or joining clubs that maintain clothing-optional policies. Etiquette stresses respecting others’ privacy, seeking consent for photography, refraining from sexual behavior in shared spaces, maintaining cleanliness, and protecting the environment. Some venues require membership or adherence to a code of conduct.

Legal status differs widely: in some countries, public nudity is restricted, while many regions allow nudity on official beaches or in designated naturist facilities. Debates around nudismo often touch on issues of morality, public decency, body image, and personal freedom. Overall, the movement aims to provide spaces where people can experience clothing-free environments in a respectful, non-sexual context.
