F0osas are a family of predatory mammals native to Madagascar. The largest and most famous species is the fossa, scientifically known as Cryptoprocta ferox. Fossas are slender, cat-like animals with a long body, a bushy tail, and short, powerful legs. Their coat is typically reddish-brown, and they possess retractable claws that aid in climbing.
