Disputava
Disputava is a small genus of moths belonging to the family Noctuidae and the subfamily Amphipyrinae. The genus was first formally described in 1912 by the British entomologist Joseph Valentine. The type species, Disputava atripuncta, was collected in the montane forests of southeastern Nepal, and subsequent investigations have recorded related species in the neighboring Himalayan ranges and in the highlands of central China.
Morphologically, members of Disputava are modest in size, with wingspans ranging from 18 to 24 millimetres.
Ecologically, Disputava moths are predominantly nocturnal. Larvae feed primarily on the foliage of various Acer species,
The genus remains relatively understudied, with only five species formally described to date. Recent molecular analyses
