Bremsventil
Bremsventil, or brake valve, is a valve assembly in braking systems that modulates the pressure delivered to brake actuators. In automotive hydraulic brakes, the term is often applied to the valve inside the master cylinder or linked with the pedal to produce proportional braking pressure. In pneumatic (air) braking systems used on trucks and trains, the Bremsventil controls brake pipe pressure and the release of air to the brake cylinders, enabling service, emergency and parking braking.
Design and operation: A brake valve typically comprises a housing with internal chambers, pistons or diaphragms,
Types: service brake valves, emergency brake valves, parking/hand brake valves, and combination valves. In railway applications,
Maintenance and safety: Bremsventile require clean fluids or air, proper seals and regular inspection. Common failure
