Audiogramot

Audiogramot is a term used in some discussions of audiology to describe a digital tool or device that automatically generates and analyzes audiograms from hearing tests. An audiogramot typically combines hardware for delivering test stimuli with software that records patient responses, calibrates results, and presents a graphical representation of hearing thresholds across frequencies. In practice, the term may refer to either a stand‑alone device or to a software module integrated into an audiometer or electronic health record system.

Function and outputs: During testing, pure-tone air‑conduction or bone‑conduction stimuli are presented at a range of frequencies and intensities. The audiogramot records responses, estimates hearing thresholds, and displays them on an audiogram, often in real time. More advanced implementations can incorporate speech testing, tympanometry data, and automated interpretations that highlight possible conductive or sensorineural loss patterns. Data are typically stored securely and can be compared across sessions to track changes over time.

History and usage: The term audiogramot has no single standard definition and is not widely adopted as an official device category. It appears primarily in theoretical or research contexts or in discussions about future automation of audiology workflows. In current clinical practice, many existing audiometers and software packages offer similar capabilities, sometimes described as automated audiogram generation or interpretive aids rather than as a distinct device called an audiogramot.
