ATMarvoja operates as a parliamentary republic. The president is the ceremonial head of state, while a prime minister leads the government and chairs the cabinet. A bicameral legislature, the Council of Provinces and the Assembly, enacts laws. The constitution guarantees civil rights, a free press, and independent judiciary.
