rechterhemisfereschade
Rechterhemisfereschade refers to damage of the right hemisphere of the brain. The right hemisphere is responsible for spatial perception, attention to the left side of space, visual and auditory processing, and aspects of language such as metaphoric meaning and prosody. Damage to this area can arise from trauma, stroke, infection, tumor, or neurodegenerative disease.
The clinical presentation of rechterhemisfereschade varies with lesion size and location. Common symptoms include left hemianopia
Diagnosis is performed by a combination of neurological examination, neuropsychological tests, and neuroimaging. Computerised tomography (CT)
Management is multidisciplinary. For stroke‑related damage, acute reperfusion therapy or thrombectomy may limit tissue loss. Rehabilitation
Prognosis depends on lesion extent and the effectiveness of early intervention. Many patients experience partial recovery
