pamflet

A pamphlet, also spelled pamflet in some languages, is a small, unbound printed publication intended to inform or persuade on a single topic. Typically produced on inexpensive paper, pamphlets are designed for easy distribution and quick reading. Unlike a book or bound booklet, a pamphlet is usually a single item or a small set of sheets folded to form multiple pages, and it may be produced in large quantities or handed out individually.

Historically, pamphlets have been used as tools of public communication. The form gained prominence in medieval and early modern Europe, with religious, political, and social movements using short, polemical texts to spread ideas. Notable examples include campaign leaflets, sermons, and political tracts that circulated widely to influence public opinion and policy.
