Olümpiakomitee is the Estonian term for a National Olympic Committee (NOC), the body recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to oversee the country’s representation at the Olympic Games and to promote the Olympic movement domestically. It is typically a non-governmental umbrella organization composed of the national sport federations that oversee individual Olympic sports, and it may also include athlete representatives and other stakeholders.

The NOC's primary responsibilities include selecting and preparing the national teams for the Olympic Games and Youth Olympic Games, coordinating training programs, and ensuring compliance with the Olympic Charter. It also promotes Olympic values, ethics, and anti-doping, and oversees development programs to raise athletic levels and sport participation.

The organization raises funds through sponsorship, government partnerships, and private support and administers grants and scholarships for athletes, coaches, and national sport bodies. Governance is usually through a general assembly, with an elected executive board and staff handling day-to-day operations; audits, reporting, and governance standards are aligned with IOC and national laws.

In Estonia, the Eesti Olümpiakomitee carries out these duties within the country, coordinating with sports federations, government bodies, and the wider Olympic movement to support athletes and national representation at the Olympics and related events.
