Common challenges include preserving context, handling dynamic content, maintaining tone and terminology across languages, keeping localizations up to date as source content changes, and addressing right-to-left scripts, accessibility, and local legal requirements.

Localized content is used for websites, software, mobile apps, games, manuals, marketing materials, and customer support. In other disciplines, the term localization can also refer to formal mathematical constructions that refine structures at a chosen subset of primes, illustrating the term’s broader usage.
