Kamermodules are compact, modular imaging devices designed for easy integration into electronic systems. More professional ecosystems provide development kits with reference boards, documented APIs, and driver support for Linux and other operating systems.

Considerations when selecting a kamermodule include resolution, frame rate, latency, sensor size, power consumption, heat dissipation, optical compatibility, and environmental ruggedness. Mechanical fit, EMI shielding, and firmware update support are important for reliable operation in production systems.
