Videoasistovaná

Videoasistovaná is a Czech adjective used to describe procedures or techniques that are guided or aided by real-time video visualization. The term is most commonly applied in medicine, where video feedback from cameras and monitors enhances precision, safety, and visualization during interventions.

In medical contexts, videoasistovaná terminology appears with terms such as videoasistovaná chirurgie, videoasistovaná laparoskopická chirurgie, and videoasistovaná torakoskopie. These describe minimally invasive approaches in which a camera provides magnified images on a monitor, allowing surgeons to perform operations through small incisions while instruments are manipulated under video guidance. The concept is also used in endoscopy and certain interventional radiology and diagnostic procedures.

Benefits of videoasistovaná techniques include reduced tissue trauma, smaller scars, shorter hospital stays, faster recovery, and improved visualization of anatomy.
