Valgusõlmeste, often translated as "light knots" or "luminary knots," is a traditional Estonian folk art characterized by the creation of intricate decorative objects using braided and woven natural fibers, primarily straw. These objects typically depict geometric patterns and symbolic representations, often drawing inspiration from nature and cultural traditions.

The craft involves selecting and preparing specific types of straw, often rye or wheat, which are then carefully processed, flattened, and sometimes dyed.
