Turretbased is an adjective used to describe systems or designs that mount weapons, sensors, or tools on a turret, a rotating platform that provides yaw movement and often elevation control for targeting or manipulation. The term is used across several fields, including military technology, robotics, manufacturing, and game design, to indicate that rotation and aiming are integrated into the platform itself.

In military contexts, turretbased configurations concentrate firepower in a single rotating housing, enabling 360-degree or limited arc coverage while protecting the crew and payload.
