Tsentralfiltrid

Tsentralfiltrid is a term used in Estonian-language technical literature to describe a centralized filtration system that serves multiple filtration points from a common facility or network. The concept covers filtration of liquids, most often water in municipal or industrial contexts, as well as selective air or process gas filtration in industrial settings. In practice, tsentralfiltrid consist of an arranged set of filtration units controlled by a central system that coordinates flow, cleaning cycles, and monitoring.

A typical tsentralfiltrid installation includes filtration units such as bed filters (for example sand, anthracite or activated carbon media), cartridge or module filters, and, in some cases, membrane modules. The units are fed from a central distribution system and are equipped with backwashing or cleaning mechanisms, piping, valve assemblies, and a centralized control and monitoring system. Backwash water management, air or gas handling, and pretreatment stages are commonly integrated to optimize performance and reliability.

Operation of tsentralfiltrid emphasizes automation, monitoring, and maintenance. Sensors track parameters like pressure, turbidity, flow, and contaminant levels, enabling automatic switching between units, backwashing, or chemical dosing as needed. Preventive maintenance, periodic media replacement, and CIP (cleaning in place) procedures help maintain filtration efficiency and prolong system life.
