Tipha

Tipha is a minor ape species found in the tropical forests of Central and West Africa. They are members of the colobine subfamily, which includes a variety of Old World monkeys. Physical characteristics of Tipha include a gray and brown coat, with a distinctive red crest on the head. Adults reach a body length of approximately 40-50 cm and weigh between 2-4 kg.

Tipha are primarily herbivores, with a diet consisting of leaves, shoots, and fruits. They are arboreal, spending most of their time in the trees of the tropical forest. They have a prehensile tail, which acts as an additional limb for grasping onto branches.
