Spannungswrailings

Spannungswrailings is a term used in electronic engineering to refer to the set of supply voltage rails that power a circuit or system. The word combines Spannung (voltage) from German with the English word rails and, in practice, denotes the network of DC rails that establish operating voltages and reference potentials for components and subsystems. The term is not a standardized technical designation, and many sources simply speak of voltage or supply rails.

A typical Spannungswrailings configuration includes one or more rails that deliver positive voltages, and sometimes a negative rail, plus a ground reference.
