Pyeandrose

Pyeandrose is a rare combination of birthmarks characterized by the presence of a strawberry angioma and a congenital melanotic macule. The angioma is typically a bright red or pink spot that is raised above the skin's surface, while the melanotic macule is often a flat, darkly pigmented area.

Pyeandrose typically appears at birth or shortly after, although it can sometimes be noticeable only at a few weeks of age. The condition is usually present on the face, but it can also occur on the arms, legs, or torso. Pyeandrose can occur in both new and full-term babies, and it is equally common in boys and girls.

The cause of pyeandrose is unknown, but it is thought to be a complex interplay of genetic and environmental factors. Pyeandrose is not a sign of a systemic disease or a congenital syndrome, and most children are otherwise healthy and have no other birthmarks or malformations.

Pyeandrose is usually treated with no medical intervention, and it typically fades within the first few years of life. In many cases, the spot from both birthmarks have faded by age 5, and by between the ages of 10-12 the Pyeandrose area is nearly completely gone, in some cases requiring some form of cosmetic treatment.

As the condition can vary in severity and size, follow-up check-ups with a pediatrician are recommended to monitor the child's progress and remove the need for especially severe or abnormal Pyeandrose markings.
