PIRsensorid

PIRsensorid is an identifier assigned to a Passive Infrared (PIR) motion sensor within a control, security, or automation system. It provides a unique reference that allows software to distinguish events generated by different sensors in a building or network.

In many ecosystems the PIRsensorid is a string or hexadecimal value, often including a device type prefix (for example PIR-00123) or a system-generated UUID. The identifier is stored in a device registry or configuration database and is commonly associated with metadata such as location, capabilities, and network address.
