Overassert

Overassert is a term used to describe behavior that is excessively forceful or insistent. It suggests a communication style that goes beyond confident assertion and enters the realm of being overly dominant, pushy, or aggressive. While assertiveness is generally viewed as a positive trait, indicating a willingness to express one's needs and opinions respectfully, overassertiveness can be perceived negatively by others.

Individuals who are overassertive may interrupt frequently, speak in a loud or demanding tone, or dismiss the viewpoints of others. They might struggle to listen to different perspectives or engage in compromise.
