Ninohe
Ninohe is a city located in the southeastern part of Iwate Prefecture in the Tōhoku region of Japan. Situated approximately 100 kilometres south of Morioka, it lies on the routing of the Tōhoku Main Line and enjoys a climate that blends humid continental and oceanic characteristics, with cool winters and relatively hot summers. Elevation averages around 150 metres above sea level, and the surrounding landscape is marked by gently rolling hills and the foothills of the Kitakami Mountains.
The city’s history dates back to the Edo period, when it was part of the Dewa Domain.
