Maovõitluse

Maovõitluse, literally translated as "snake fighting" in Estonian, refers to a traditional folk performance or game that involves a staged confrontation between a person and a snake. These performances were historically found in various cultures and often incorporated elements of ritual, entertainment, and sometimes even perceived medicinal properties. The exact nature of maovõitluse varied, but generally involved a performer, often called a snake charmer or handler, interacting with a snake, usually a non-venomous species.

The performance might include elements like the handler coaxing the snake out of a basket, making it dance to music, or engaging in a mock struggle.
