Kiaknázhatósága refers to the exploitability of a vulnerability. It describes how easily and effectively a security weakness can be leveraged by an attacker to achieve a malicious objective. This concept is crucial in cybersecurity for assessing risk and prioritizing remediation efforts.

Several factors contribute to a vulnerability's exploitability. Technical complexity is a primary consideration; a vulnerability that requires highly specialized knowledge or intricate timing might be less exploitable than one that can be triggered with a simple, readily available tool. The availability of exploit code is another significant factor. If proof-of-concept exploit scripts or fully functional malware are publicly available or easily developed, the risk of exploitation increases dramatically.

The context in which a vulnerability exists also plays a role. For instance, a vulnerability in a system that is directly accessible from the internet is generally more exploitable than one confined to an isolated internal network. The presence of mitigating controls, such as firewalls or intrusion detection systems, can also reduce exploitability by making it harder for attackers to reach and trigger the vulnerability.

Assessing exploitability helps organizations understand the immediate threat posed by a vulnerability. A vulnerability with high exploitability, even if it has a moderate severity score, might warrant more urgent attention than a vulnerability with a high severity score but very low exploitability. This allows for a more nuanced and effective approach to vulnerability management.
