Hääbumise
Hääbumise is the Estonian term for the legal and social institution of marriage. It encompasses the formal union of two persons, typically under civil or religious law, and the rights, duties, and responsibilities that arise from that union. In Estonia, marriage has been available to both heterosexual and, since 2017, to same‑sex couples, under the same civil law provisions that govern all marriages.
