Hodesstemme
Hodesstemme, also known as head voice, is a term in singing and voice pedagogy for the high portion of the singer’s range. It refers to a vocal production in which resonance is concentrated in the head and in facial cavities, producing a light but still projection-rich timbre suitable for higher pitches. In Norwegian usage, it is discussed together with bryststemme (chest voice) and mixed voice as part of the vocal register system.
