Hardververifikációban refers to the process of ensuring that a hardware design functions correctly and meets its specifications. The goal of verification is to identify and correct any bugs or errors in the design before manufacturing begins, as correcting errors after fabrication is extremely costly and time-consuming.

Assertions are also crucial in hardware verification. These are statements embedded within the design that specify expected behavior under certain conditions. If an assertion fails during simulation or in the actual hardware, it indicates a potential problem. Coverage metrics are used to quantify the thoroughness of the verification process, ensuring that different aspects of the design have been adequately tested.
